How to organize an Israeli Movie Night in your community

Looking for a movie night in Chicago? See the Chicago events calendar, or contact Becky Adelberg at badelberg@azm.org for more information.
1. Purchase or Download the AZM Movie Guide
Purchase for $10 or download: www.azm.org/film.shtml
2. Select the movie you would like to screen
Information about the movies to help you decide which is best for you: www.azm.org/film_about.shtml
3. Order the movie
Prices vary between $12-30 per person. Purchasing information: www.azm.org/film_store.shtml
4. Decide on a venue
The AZM Film Guide is best used in more intimate settings, where dynamic discussions about movies are most likely to flourish. Synagogues, community centers, classes, film groups and Israel clubs are all appropriate forums - or, hold your movie night in a participant's living room! The guide is also adaptable for a large audience, such as a film festival.
5. Set a date and time, and publicize
If you wish to attract a larger audience for your film night, contact local synagogues and Jewish organizations and ask them to advertise the event in their e-newsletters and on public bulletin boards. In addition, if you send the pertinent information to eletter@azm.org, AZM would be happy to publicize your event in our National Events Calendar. Of course, it is also possible to keep the gathering small, with just a few friends.
