Information for University Students
Scholarship Instructions
The scholarship application involves the following items:
- Application Form
- Financial Background Form
- Two Letters of Recommendation: Submit one letter of recommendation from a leader in the Jewish community (i.e. rabbi, Hillel staff member) who can attest to your involvement in the Jewish community and pro-Israel activities. Submit another letter of recommendation from your choice of a past employer, a past professor, or a second community leader.
- Personal Statement: Submit a personal statement on the following topic. Statement should be two pages double-spaced, 600 words maximum.

2009 application deadlines are as follows:
Spring Semester: Must be received by: January 5
Full Year and Fall Semester: Must be received by: June 1
Scholarships will be determined within one month of the application deadline and scholarship funds will be sent directly to the university in Israel to be put towards the student's tuition.
