Seven frenetic days traveling with Herzl to Paris, Basel, Vienna, Budapest and Israel, reliving the times and events that gave rise to the Zionist movement, celebrating the triumph of the Zionist idea together with Jewish communities of Europe, concluding with the celebration of Yom Ha’atzmaut on Mt. Herzl in Israel.

Thursday, April 15 Rosh Hodesh lyar

8:30am – 12:00 Train to Basle
12:30pm “In Basle I Founded the Jewish State”
Herzl’s gamble on the Jewish future in a Swiss casino (tour & symposium, including lunch)
6:00pm Free time and dinner on own
8:30pm Tour bus to Zurich (1 hour)
10:40pm Overnight train to Vienna

8:00am Arrival in Vienna
8:30am Cafe Griensteidl and the Jewish Question: Exploring Jewish Vienna
12:30pm Lunch w/ Viennese Jewish Community
2:00pm Tour bus to Budapest (3 hours)
5:30pm Check-in at hotel
7:14pm Candle lighting
7:30pm Kabbalat Shabbat and dinner with Minister Yuli Edelstein and Israeli ambassador to Hungary

Estimated cost of basic package (subject to change): $1,985, including 6 nights hotel (bed and breakfast) based on double occupancy, plus 7 additional meals, all scheduled tours, events and activities from April 14 in Paris through April 20 in Israel.
