Marlene E. Post, Chair, National Board
Marlene E. Post, Chair of the National Board, is past National President of Hadassah and the Women’s Zionist Organization of America and the current President of Hadassah International. Mrs. Post was honored with the Guardian of Jerusalem Award, and has also received numerous Israeli awards for her work on behalf of people with disabilities. The Hebrew College of Massachusetts awarded her the degree of Doctor of Humane Letters. Mrs. Post also serves as the co-chair of the World Confederation of United Zionists and the honorary co-chair of the National Coalition for Literacy. She served on the Executive of the World Zionist Organization, and presently is the chair of the Controllers and Audit Committee of the board of the Jewish Agency for Israel. She also serves on the Board of the State of Israel Bonds, The Advisory Council of the New York Board of Rabbis, The Jewish Community Relations Council of New York and the UJA Federation of New York. Mrs. Post was a member of the Executive Committee of National Hillel, and she has served as chair of Birthright Israel North America. Mrs. Post holds a Master of Science Degree in Nursing Education and Administration and has served as a Nursing Educator in a host of health care institutions.
