Welcome to the Vigil for Israel
Join Us in Commemorating Victims of Terror
Since September 2000, over 500 people have been killed and over
4,000 injured in incidents of terror and violence in Israel. The
victims reflect the diversity of Israel's population and the horrifying
results of indiscriminate violence and hatred.
The "Vigil for Israel: Commemorating Victims of Terror"
was developed as a program to accomplish several things; to respectfully
memorialize Israel's victims of terror and violence, raise public
awareness about the loss of life suffered by Israel's citizen's
- in numbers, scope and circumstance, provide a central focus and
outlet for the community's distress and build a spiritual and moral
bridge between the people of Israel and Jews outside of Israel.
The American Zionist Movement started this website to provide
local communities with the program resources and support in planning
vigils and related programs. We hope that you find all the information
you need to effectively plan and implement a "Vigil For Israel"
in your community. If you need additional resources or information
please feel free to contact us
at any time.
