The Amazing Israel Race

It may have seemed like a lazy Sunday in Manhattan, but on April 22, 2007, for more than 75 college students and birthright alum, the pressure was on. Following a string of cryptic clues, the 16 teams of participants raced through Manhattan, using their knowledge of Zionist history and their city smarts to identify and visit 12 sites with Zionist significance. The race was facilitated by volunteers, including both Israelis and Americans, who orchestrated fun learning tasks at each site. Below are some photos of memorable moments along the way.

The race was sponsored by the American Zionist Movement, USD Hagshama and the Jewish National Fund.
